Jet H.H. Crielaard studeerde in 1999 af aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK) te Den Haag. Tijdens haar afstuderen won zij een prijs met haar eindexamenwerk, wat resulteerde in een reis naar New York, uitgereikt door Siemens. Sindsdien heeft zij een veelzijdige en gelaagde praktijk opgebouwd op het snijvlak van beeld en woord.

Haar werk wordt gedragen door de visie dat alles met elkaar verbonden is. Dit principe vertaalt zich in gelaagde visualisaties, waarbij zij vaak rest- en/of gevonden materiaal een nieuw leven geeft. Het is haar doel om deze diepe, onderlinge samenhang in concrete vormen te gieten, wat resulteert in een poëtische wereld waarin beelden een synesthesie oproepen en metaforen vormen voor betrokkenheid en verbinding.

Exposities en Kunstprojecten
Haar beeldend werk is getoond op zowel nationale als internationale platforms. Belangrijke tentoonstellingen omvatten exposities in Paleis het Loo (Apeldoorn, 2001), het Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven, 2009) en het Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (2018, animatie). Drie werken van haar zijn bovendien opgenomen in de kunstcollectie van Sanquin Amsterdam. Recentelijk exposeerde zij in de Haagse Kunstkring en in samenwerking met Balbino Escoval in de Borala Bar in Corroios, Portugal (2023).

Publicaties
Als auteur en illustrator heeft zij een omvangrijk oeuvre opgebouwd. Ze is de maker van de kinderboekenreeks rond Beere, en publiceerde de geïllustreerde dichtbundel Vogelvluchtsprookjes (2009). Haar poëzie, illustraties en woordbeelden verschenen in gerenommeerde uitgaven zoals Revisor (Uitgeverij Querido), Zieteratuur (Uitgeverij Passage) en in bloemlezingen als Dichters in de Prinsentuin. Ze publiceerde Drajboek bij Direct Dutch Publishing, en de werken Beere, Laski Fantaski en Vogelvluchtsprookjes verschenen bij De Witte Uitgeverij.

Poëzievoordrachten en optredens
Als performer stond zij op diverse podia. Ze trad op in iconische zalen als Paradiso (Amsterdam), Het Paard (Den Haag), Vredenburg (Utrecht) en Rotown (Rotterdam), en nam zij meermaals deel aan de nationale finale van de Poetry Slam in Doornroosje (2005, 2006). Ook presenteerde zij haar bundel Vogelvluchtsprookjes in de Regentenkamer (Den Haag).

Jet H.H. Crielaard graduated from the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague in 1999. During her graduation, she won an award for her final project, which resulted in a trip to New York, presented by Siemens. Since then, she has built a versatile and layered practice at the intersection of image and word.

Her work is driven by the vision that everything is interconnected. She translates this principle into layered visualizations, often giving new life to residual and/or found material. Her goal is to cast this deep, underlying coherence into concrete forms, resulting in a poetic world where images evoke a synesthesia and form metaphors for involvement and connection.

Her visual work has been shown on both national and international platforms. Desde então, ela construiu uma prática versátil e em camadas na intersecção de imagem e palavra.

O seu trabalho é impulsionado pela visão de que tudo está interligado. Ela traduz este princípio em visualizações em camadas, frequentemente dando uma nova vida a materiais residuais e/ou encontrados. O seu objetivo é moldar esta coerência profunda e subjacente em formas concretas, resultando num mundo poético onde as imagens evocam uma sinestesia e formam metáforas para o envolvimento e a conexão que partilhamos.
